Relevé Entertainment, in partnership with Walgreens, held their second installment of the tri-city tour on Saturday, November 21, 2015. The Merge Symposium Atlanta was held at the dReam Center Church of Atlanta (4209 Northeast Expy, Atlanta, GA 30340). Founded by Relevé Entertainment CEO Dr. Holly Carter and BET Networks VP of Talent & Casting Robi Reed, The Merge Symposium provides a platform for men and women of faith to interact, learn, and partner with leading executives and talent in the entertainment industry. It changes the trajectory of mainstream media by bringing the integration of faith-based ideals to the forefront of entertainment.

As an offshoot of the hugely popular The Merge Summit held in Los Angeles, the Symposium takes the Merge opportunity beyond Hollywood to empower the next generation of leaders. This educational and empowering experience was a full day industry-influenced networking and learning environment that featured master class keynotes, panel discussions and spotlight conversations featuring leaders from entertainment, media and ministry. Featured master classes included: “An Artist Who Matters”; You, Inc.: Building a Marketable Brand; Life Rocks Vision Board Exclusive; Actors One-On-One and more.

Panelists included Bishop William Murphy, Actress and Humanitarian LisaRaye McCoy, Actor and Producer Harry Lennix (“The Blacklist”), Celebrity Hairstylist Kim Kimble (“LA Hair”), TV Host & Author Egypt Sherrod, Actress Jasmine Guy (“A Different World”), Producer & CEO of Rainforest Films Rob Hardy (“Think Like a Man”), Producer and CEO of Franklin Entertainment Devon Franklin and wife Meagan Good, Essence Magazine’s Editor-in-Large Mikki Taylor and more. The evening culminated with a #FreedomExperience concert featuring Canton Jones, KJ Scriven, Thomas Clay & Evolution, Charmaine, Judah Swilley, and #MERGESTAR2015 Winner Resound.

The 2015 Merge Symposium Tour continues with its next stop in Chicago. It was previously held in Baltimore at the Empowerment Temple Church during the month of August. “We could not be more excited about this gathering,” said The Merge Founder and Chair Dr. Holly Carter. “We’ve grown and evolved while always staying to our original purpose: to provide a platform for creative men and men of faith.”
